Six reasons watch owners return to Horolune

17 Years of In-House Experience

Every technician on our team trained here. No hand-offs, no outsourcing. Deep familiarity with crown and stem mechanisms across a wide range of movement types.

Calibrated Equipment, Annually Verified

Pressure testing instruments are checked against reference standards each year. Results you receive are traceable — not approximated.

Written Records on Every Job

Inspection notes, parts used, test outcomes — all documented. Your service record is yours to keep and share with any future technician.

No Jargon Policy

We explain findings in plain language. If a technical term is needed, we define it. You make decisions with real information.

Preservation-First Finishing

Case polishing follows original surface zones. We document the approach so the watch's finish history is clear to anyone who works on it later.

Silom Access, City-Central

Steps from BTS Sala Daeng and Chong Nonsi. Drop-off and collection fit around a working day. No need to coordinate a courier or travel far out of the centre.

In Depth

Each advantage, explained

Professional Expertise

Horolune's team has worked on movements ranging from budget quartz to high-end mechanical pieces from European and Japanese manufacturers. Our lead watchmaker has over seventeen years of movement-level experience. The technicians handling case work and pressure testing trained directly under him.

This depth matters most when a repair turns out to be more involved than the initial symptom suggests — and in our experience, it often does.

  • Crown and stem servicing across a wide range of movement platforms
  • Finishing experience on stainless, gold-tone, and PVD-coated cases
  • Water-resistance protocols aligned with manufacturer rating specifications
  • Honest assessment when a piece is better suited to a brand-authorised centre

Equipment and Process

Pressure testing is only as useful as the equipment performing it. Our dry and wet testing instruments are calibrated against reference standards annually, and the calibration certificate is kept on file. When we issue a written pressure test result, the number on that document corresponds to an actual measured outcome.

Case finishing uses hand-guided equipment rather than automated polishing wheels. This takes longer, but it allows the technician to follow the original surface transitions of the case rather than averaging them away.

  • Calibrated pressure testing instruments, verified annually
  • Hand-guided finishing for case polishing
  • Individual labelled storage for each piece during work
  • Documented intake and release process for each job

Communication and Service

Most service questions come down to one concern: "what is happening to my watch and what will it cost?" We address both in writing before work begins. If the scope changes during the job, we contact the owner before proceeding. No decisions are made without agreement.

Collection is arranged by phone or message once the work is complete. There is no automated system — a person contacts you directly.

  • Written estimate before any work begins
  • Owner contacted if scope changes during repair
  • Direct communication — no automated responses
  • Service record provided at collection

Pricing and Value

Our service pricing reflects the time and materials involved in each job. Crown and stem repair starts at ฿ 3,800; case polishing at ฿ 9,500; water-resistance testing at ฿ 28,000. These are firm prices agreed before work begins, not estimates that expand once the watch is on the bench.

The service record you receive has practical value beyond the job itself — it provides documentation for insurance purposes and for any future repair centre that works on the piece.

  • Fixed quoted price, agreed in writing before work starts
  • Service record useful for insurance and future reference
  • No charges added without owner agreement
  • THB pricing, payment accepted in cash or by card

Results and Outcomes

We measure success by whether the watch functions as expected after it leaves and whether the owner understood everything that was done to it. Repeat visits and referrals from existing customers account for the majority of new enquiries — an indication that the process is working as intended.

We handle a capped number of pieces per month. This is deliberate: it allows adequate time for each job and keeps the two-technician review process in place.

  • Second-technician review before every collection
  • Capped monthly volume to maintain service quality
  • Over 2,400 documented service records since 2007
  • Majority of new enquiries via referral from existing customers

What Sets Us Apart

Features you won't find at most workshops

Portable Service Record

The documentation we issue at collection is formatted to be useful to any watchmaker in the future — not just a receipt. It includes inspection findings, parts replaced, test pressures, and the technician's notation of the finishing zones addressed.

Preservation-First Protocol

Before any case finishing begins, the technician notes the existing surface type and condition. Work follows those zones deliberately. The goal is to restore visual quality without erasing the watch's original manufacturing character.

Named Technician Assignment

Each watch is assigned to a named technician who follows it through the job. If you have questions during the service period, there is one person to speak to — not a general enquiries queue.

Referral Without Obligation

If we assess a watch and conclude it is more appropriately handled by a brand-authorised service centre, we say so — and we give a written reason. We do not take on work that would be better done elsewhere.
